This information has been needed for so long. While it’s ‘always been out there,’ it has been hidden behind closed doors or pushed aside like Muhammad Ali or Colin Kaepernick. I believe their message to the world was taken the wrong way by society. The majority wasn’t listening or paying close attention. What you’ve done is create a message that can be heard, and understood by all.

Breaking BarrierZ hits it out of the park with their platform tailored specifically utilizing the world of athletics as example. The influence and commentary that sports, teams and athletes have on society is undeniable. Utilizing real world examples from an industry that is so deeply entrenched in society's conscience, BBZ has created an accessibility and resonance that is not only timely, but necessary. Just as we can all unite in competition, we can all do the same to foster education and acceptance through such a tool as this. Breaking BarrierZ helped me recognize tools and examples in my own industry from which I can pull as I continue to learn, work and lead in this important space.

I found the Breaking BarrierZ Implicit Bias training a fabulous resource. It was accessible, informative, and thought provoking. It's particularly appropriate for people who believe they don't harbor any implicit bias. Because we all do.

It was very important to me because, as a black woman in the sports field, social justice and racial equality in the workplace is very important to me. It was impactful because it was applied to real-world situations. This online certificate program is very helpful for businesses and students.

I was very much unaware of the historical and political policies that were implemented in the past decade. I like to take pride in believing how informed I am with social issues and today's policies, but I can fully admit, what I know, seemed like only the tip of the iceberg for the struggles people of color go through. This platform enlightened me on the topics of: Redlining, Color Blindness and how it is now deemed to not be the most efficient way to improve equality and the Home Owner Loan Act and its effects.

I believe the main responsibilities of leading a charge and change are members of the legal system and judges. I believe that lawyers are powerless to the law of the land and they only abide by what has already been discussed and put into policy. The members of the legal system are the ones who need to formulate new laws or the removal of outdated ones, while the judges, their main purpose is to sentence those who break said laws. If you break a law, you break a law and should be punished to an extent, however, if a judge is racist or has some sort of biases, regardless of how much change or fight has occurred for equality and/or social justice, the sentencing could undo all that work with a harsher or more extreme sentencing simply because the defendant is a person of color.

Through this training, I learned the idea of being more than a brand. This makes me want to be a part of something more. It showed me any brand can have an impact and be a part of something that matters, and that is a small way in which I can help others.

The BBZ Certification and course was not only educational and beneficial but was also an eye opener for me, in a lot of different aspects. I found this course to be extremely important for my generation as most schools shy away from the more difficult conversations that need to be had to properly educate us. This course produced raw and real material that needs to be talked about and understood in my generation. The BBZ Certification is also incredibly beneficial for students like me wanting to be successful in the sports industry to see this content and really understand it. I am very grateful that I have the information I learned through the BBZ certification course to help lead me through the sports industry in the future. It truly is a game changer.

The examples of fight against injustice in the training impacted how I thought about our platforms. The WNBA did everything they could to fight for what they believe in, which is inspiring.

The Breaking BarrierZ platform was a guide for me to be a great leader on and off the court. The platform also has helped me learn to get closer to God and let Him lead the way. This Platform is a tool to help me and anyone else become a Changemaker!
