  • As of 2026, states with mandatory sexual harassment prevention training requirements for private employers include California (SB 1343), New York (NYSHRL), Illinois (Workplace Transparency Act), Connecticut (Time's Up Act), Delaware (Discrimination in Employment Act), Maine, and Washington (for certain industries). New York City also has its own mandate (Local Law 96) that applies on top of the state requirement. Requirements differ by employer size, training hours, and retraining cadence.
